Successfully conducting user research take time and effort.
Your pre-launch startup doesn’t come with a built-in user testing pool. Having the opportunity to interview vulnerable individuals for your mobile app means building trust with community leaders. While we endeavor to do what we can to learn from our users’ lived experiences, conducting direct user research isn’t always feasible.
But that doesn’t make user research impossible.
I thrive in ambiguity. When I can’t interview users directly, you’ll find me consulting the secondary literature, analyzing qualitative findings to learn about your users’ lived experiences. If your users are on the internet, I’ll immerse myself in their communities, observing first hand how they interact, and discuss what what they really care about. I’ll meet with the experts, learning about your users from their eyes, their insight filling the gaps in my data.
This means that when I do get to meet with users face-to-face, I already have a solid foundation to work off of. We’ve found what we need to start. Now. let’s make it personal.
